Youtube has been in our culture for almost 10 years now. Its users and its viewers have been growing ever since. Its first ever video was uploaded April 23,2005 and it was a video of dude hanging out at the zoo titled “Me A the Zoo”. Back then,Youtube wasn’t accepted as a platform for entertainment.So people didn’t treat the users with much respect.For instance,if you were to tell someone you were a famous youtuber, they would say,“Oh, so you make videos in your basement for a living, so what?”. Now look at today. Whenever someone sees a famous youtuber on the street, a public place or even their own doorstep,they get pretty crazy.

The people who use Youtube as a profession, such as Pewdiepie, have benefited so much from the use of this website. As of today, Pewdiepie is one of the richest youtubers on the planet. All because he posts videos of himself reacting to video games and other types of video content. So not only is Youtube used as a form of entertainment, but also as a way to make a business. The people at Hollywood are trying to get in on the action by offering the famous youtubers a chance to be on television or the big screen. One example is Lucas Cruikshanks, otherwise known as FRED. He started out as a small time youtuber until his channel hit more than 1,000,000 views. No one could’ve thought a teenage kid with a high-pitched voice would get this big. The point is Youtube has become a big part of our culture and its not going to go away anytime soon.
